Amsterdam is the touristic center of Netherlands but the governmental center is at The Hague, only about 45 minutes by train from Amsterdam. That was my next destination. When I looked outside in the morning it first time looked that its actually going to be a nice warm day so I encouraged myself to wear shorts (one of the first times on this summer), and it paid itself off.
Peace palace, does the name ring a bell? How about international court of justice? Well, let me tell. International court of justice (ICJ) is part of the United Nations, more specified its primary juridical branch of UN that is focused to solve problems between states / nations. ICJ is based on peace palace that is it the Hague. Taking an audio tour through visitor center provided me a feeling that again I'm bit more wise than I used to be.
When I arrived at The Hague Central station Anneloes was there to meet me up. First I threw my backpack in the locker at the station before heading out for a city tour. Walking through the city where most of the government building where existing (prime ministers office, kings palace etc.) until it was time to stop and enjoy small cup of coffee... Which actually were that small that I wouldn't be cautious, I would probably swallowed the whole cup instead of just coffee in it :D

But that's it for the cultural activities, because sun was shining it was important to join it. That's why we took up bikes and cycled a short way to the beach. After arrived to the beach I told that it didn't look Netherlands at all, more like I felt that I have just cycled within 15 minutes through whole Europe to somewhere in Mediterranean countries. But not complaining at all, beach bar + sunshine + corona bucket, that if something felt like a real chill out holiday. Spending several hours enjoying the sun and talking what ever came to mind, unfortunately it still became time to leave. I was so relaxed that I almost even forgot my hoodie on the chair!
So far discovered three cities in Netherlands and one more to go... Utrecht here I come!
